The verticals are secured to the Acrow by means of the two beams across the top at each location. Hydraulic jacks were first placed and attached to the verticals which were jacked just enough to release the tension on the pins in the lower joints. In this view, the floor beam closest to the pier has been removed, along with the bottom sway braces.
