Bridge F302 Griggstown Causeway over the Millstone River

The bridge at this location was historic; however, the truss was deteriorated beyond the point of being able to be rehabilitated.   A new truss was fabricated which replicated the original.

Although this road sees considerable traffic, the new structure is one lane, as was the original.  The east abutment and pier were retained, as they had recently been rebuilt.  They were modified to accept a stone veneer surface.  The west abutment was completely rebuilt.  The deck has a surface treatment of epoxy and black grit.
