This bridge is on a local street and crosses Green Brook between Plainfield and North Plainfield. The plan called for removal and replacement of the deck utilizing the existing steel girders, with some minor repairs to the existing abutments. It was subsequently decided to remove the girders and have them repaired and painted off site. At the time I became involved, the girders had been returned and placed on the abutments, as seen in the first picture.
